Our approach
Find the right filter. Then find where to buy it.
Here’s how we choose. You can search for a replacement now, but retailer prices and comparisons between alternatives are not available yet. If we don’t have enough information to recommend a filter, we say so.
Check that it fits and works
We check your model number against the manufacturer’s instructions. A filter must do more than fit in the opening: any required chip or extra installation parts matter too. If we cannot confirm that it works with your appliance, we say so.
Explain why we chose it
We compare what each filter removes or reduces, how well it works, reliability, and price. Best Overall needs a clear advantage over the other options. Best Value needs worthwhile savings without missing our performance and reliability requirements. Being the original manufacturer’s filter—or simply the cheapest—is not enough.
Best Overall means the strongest supported choice for your needs. Best Value means a lower-cost choice that still meets those needs. A multipack is a separate option: we show both the whole-pack price and the cost of each filter, and recommend it only when the savings justify buying more.
Compare the full price
We check the seller, number of filters, delivery and returns. Prices include shipping and required fees when confirmed, but not sales tax. If shipping depends on your location, we ask for a ZIP code only when needed. An unknown shipping charge is never counted as free.
Keep commissions separate
A retailer commission never changes which filter we recommend. A better deal for you comes first.
Check again before you buy
When shopping is available, we’ll check prices and stock again before sending you to a retailer. If the price changes, our value pick may change too. If an offer disappears, we’ll check another seller’s price, delivery and returns before suggesting it. Live retailer connections are not enabled yet.
See the reasons if you want them
Open Why this filter for the explanation. More detailed tests and sources are tucked inside it. If information is missing, outdated or conflicting, we hold back the claim or recommendation instead of guessing.
