Buying guide
Which under-sink filter needs replacing?
Start with the system model, then choose the part that is due—not whichever filter looks cheapest.
Find the system and the part
Search the model number on the water-filter system. If it uses several separate replacement parts, FilterAnswer may show a list of the supported parts rather than one recommendation. Match the part to its label, the system’s reminder and the instructions for that exact model. Different parts do different jobs; they are not cheaper substitutes for one another.
A reminder may apply to just one part
Do not assume every filter needs changing at the same time. Use the schedule and reminder instructions for your system to identify what is due. A stage number or a similar cartridge name alone is not enough to confirm a replacement. If the number is unclear, check the label before choosing.
Check what the package contains
A replacement set can contain different parts for one change. A supply pack can contain spare filters for later changes. Check the exact part numbers and quantity, not just the number of pieces in the box. A lower price per piece does not tell you the cost of replacing the parts your system needs now.
Follow the instructions for your model
Use the system’s own replacement, flushing and reminder-reset instructions. Instructions shown for a different model are not automatically suitable for yours, even when it uses a shared filter. If FilterAnswer cannot confirm the part or its system-specific instructions, do not treat a similar listing as a confirmed answer.
