How many you need
This package contains one R cartridge. HPA5100 and HPA5150 need one; HPA5200, HPA5220 and HPA5250 need two; HPA5300 and HPA5350 need three for a full R-filter change. The separate pre-filter is not included.

HRF-R1 contains one R cartridge. HPA5100 and HPA5150 use one; HPA5200, HPA5220 and HPA5250 use two; HPA5300 and HPA5350 use three. One package is not a full R-filter change for models that need two or three cartridges. The separate A or A+ pre-filter is not included.
Size and fit
Honeywell lists cartridge dimensions of 10.2 by 6.5 by 1.6 inches. Matching dimensions alone does not prove compatibility.

Installation and care
Installing the replacement
For the listed InSight models: turn off and unplug the purifier. Remove plastic wrapping and install the R cartridges with red removal tabs facing outward. Refit the separate pre-filter and front grille. Plug in the purifier but leave it turned off. Hold Filter Reset for two seconds; the R-filter light blinks twice and turns off. Do not reset the separate pre-filter timer unless that filter was replaced too.
Caring for the filters
The manual suggests changing R cartridges every 12 months and the separate pre-filter every 3 months; heavy dust or smoke can shorten these intervals. Do not wash, vacuum or immerse these filters.
