Caring for the filters
Whirlpool’s Filter 4 sheet says to change the cartridge at least every six months and flush after replacement using your refrigerator’s instructions. It lists different water capacities for different filter systems: 200 gallons with a performance indicator and 100 gallons without one for systems W11256135 and W11311161. Check your refrigerator’s instructions; do not assume every Filter 4 installation has the same capacity.
