Installation and care

Installing the replacement

For AQ-5200/AQ-6200: close the cold-water valve and open the dedicated tap until flow stops. Match cartridge and housing colors; replace damaged seals. Follow the manual to remove and refit housings straight with correctly aligned threads; tighten by hand. A pre-2024 purchase may attach without an audible click. Reopen water slowly, inspect for leaks and flush for 10 minutes, discarding that water.

Caring for the filters

Replace housings every five years per Aquasana. Follow the manual’s battery polarity, secure-compartment and disposal instructions. If the compartment cannot close securely, stop using the product. Keep all coin batteries away from children; suspected ingestion needs immediate medical attention. Unsafe or unknown-quality water requires suitable disinfection.
